About the Photographer

Who I am:

Hi, my name is Charlie and I am a Sydney-based photographer who moved from the San Francisco area in 2010. I teach photography in the Sydney CBD, explore new places when time permits, and enjoy reading.

What I Photograph:

I do portraiture, creative projects, weddings and businesses.

Why I Photograph:

Time flies by way too quickly, and for this reason, photography is a passion of mine. Photography has the ability to capture memories and expressions in a way that can cause our senses to remember the past as if it was the present. I will always be thankful for my parents as they gave me a lot of photographs to remember the good, the embarrassing, and unforgettable memories we shared together. My hope is to do the same (maybe not the embarrassing bits!) for as many people as I can connect with.

Giving Back to the Community:

I am a big believer in giving back to the community. Once a month I, along with a team, organise a meet up once a month for photographers. These meet-ups often pertain to workshops, photo walks and having a meal together. In addition to this, I blog for photographers HERE and blog for various groups of people HERE. Lastly, I offer a free event shoot once a year for charities around Sydney.

Why Hire Me?:

I know how to bring out the best in people and I have a creative eye for detail. With these two elements, the pictures I take come to life. I value my relationships with my clients by going beyond expectations in regards to communication, professionalism, organisation, and quality of work. I am naturally a very relational person who genuinely cares about the people I meet. Please get in contact with me as I’d love to connect with you for your photography needs.
